Hi! Welcome to my second Oslo vlog. This time, I’m taking you for a stroll around the Bygdøy peninsula. We'll slowly walk along Frognerkilen cove and take in the scenic sea views.
Great places to visit in Oslo during summer – June edition
This is my first seasonal vlog, where I collect my favorite moments/days of the season. I did it as a digital diary in a way that makes sense to me, so I can finally delete many, many videos from my phone storage. I didn’t include captions in this silent vlog because it’s meant to be a visual record of my days—something like an old-fashioned home movie. Since I spent most of my summer days in Oslo in 2023, all the footage is from there. It consists of 4 parts:
🗓️ 30 May: I went with my friend Daria to the Huk beach at Bygdøy peninsula. We hung out for a while, having coffee, talking, and watching people swim in the icy seawater. The day was warm, but the sea was not.
🗓️ 1 June: Sunny weather continued, so I went to Aker Brygge pier to draw and chat with seagulls.
🗓️ 2 June: My friend Serena took me to the Svartskog Kolonial cafe to enjoy their cakes. I had a rhubarb crumble. I got the last piece, and the lady served me everything that was left in the baking dish. The portion was enough for two people but I managed to eat it all myself. If you wish to check the cafè, here is their Instagram: https://instagram.com/svartskog_kolonial
🗓️ 4 June: Dejan and I went for a walk in the nearby forest. In the evening I went to Østensjøvannet Lake to make a few sketches and enjoy the quiet sunset. I love visiting this lake during summer evenings, around 9 p.m.
And that’s it! I hope you’ll enjoy it! ☺️
